Wintercorn are going to Germany!

J And Beyond!Team Wintercorn have just booked tickets for the big event of the year, so far.

The J And Beyond conference in Wiesbaden, Germany.

We'll be presenting Wintercorn, JoomlaPipe and the Joomla! User Group Norfolk to an audience of fellow Joomlians.

It should be a great 4 days of presentations, exhibitions and meeting online friends from around the world.

Domain Renewal Group letters

Wintercorn received yet another invoice from Domain Renewal Group this morning.

Domain Renewal Group is a company who offer to renew your domain when you transfer it to them. This is all legal and above board but it's almost certain that you will be paying them more to renew than your current registrar.

Given the amount of deals available with well known registrars like UKReg and 123 Reg, we feel that this is an offer best ignored.

I was mooching around the internet earlier today, as one does waiting for a 'phone call, and saw this article on choosing the perfect CMS.

Firstly, there is no perfect CMS. Which system you ultimately choose will depend upon your needs and skills. Simple sites with lots of articles requiring comments would be best served by Wordpress whilst professional ecommerce sites with news and user management would be best delivered by Joomla!
